Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies generally to Android applications published by PromptLabs Global ("we", "our", or "us") on Google Play, unless a specific app provides a separate privacy notice or additional app-specific disclosure that supersedes or supplements this policy.

Our applications are designed with user privacy in mind. The nature and scope of data handling varies across our apps depending on each app's features. This policy describes, in general terms, the categories of information that may be involved and how we approach data handling across our portfolio.

By using any of our applications, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

Information We Collect

Information you provide through the app:

• Content you create, enter, or configure within an app — such as text, settings, or preferences. Depending on the app, this content may be stored locally on your device or, where a feature requires it, processed by a connected service.
• App settings and preferences — typically stored locally on your device and used only to maintain your in-app experience.

Information collected automatically:

• Advertising data (where applicable): Apps that display ads may use an advertising provider (such as Google AdMob) that collects device identifiers, such as your Advertising ID, to serve relevant ads. See Section 4 for details.
• Crash & diagnostics data (where applicable): Some apps may use an anonymous crash reporting service to help improve stability. Reports may include device model, OS version, and error traces. Such reports are intended to be non-personally identifiable, though the exact data collected depends on the reporting provider.

Information processed by third-party services (where applicable):

• Where an app's core features rely on third-party SDKs or external APIs, those services may collect or process data as described in their own privacy policies. We aim to disclose the use of such services on each app's Google Play listing.

How We Use Information

Information collected or processed by our apps may be used to:

• Provide and maintain the core functionality of each application.
• Save your in-app preferences and content across sessions.
• Improve app performance and stability, including identifying and fixing crashes.
• Deliver advertisements, where applicable, to support free access to our apps.
• Enable optional or feature-specific processing where an app's functionality requires it.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, use it for behavioral profiling unrelated to app operation, or share it beyond what is described in this policy.

Advertising

Some of our apps include advertising to support free access. Where ads are present, we may use Google AdMob or other advertising partners. These providers may collect device data — such as your Advertising ID — to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your settings.

Not all apps in our portfolio include ads. Whether a specific app contains advertising is indicated on its Google Play store listing.

Google's advertising practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage ad personalization at any time:

• Go to Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device.
• Enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android 12 and below), or reset/delete your Advertising ID (Android 13+).

App Permissions

Each application requests only the Android permissions necessary for its features to function. Permissions vary across apps based on their purpose. Some apps may request access to device features such as overlays, notifications, storage, or other capabilities — only when those features are central to the app's core functionality.

Sensitive permissions — such as camera, microphone, precise location, or contacts — are requested only when directly required by a specific app's core feature, and are disclosed on that app's Google Play listing and surfaced through standard Android permission prompts.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Data may be shared with third-party service providers only to the extent necessary to operate app features, deliver ads, provide analytics or crash reporting, or comply with applicable law. Specifically, data may be shared in the following circumstances:

• Advertising providers (where applicable): Device signals shared with ad partners such as Google AdMob for ad delivery, as described in Section 4.
• Crash reporting (where applicable): Diagnostic data may be shared with a crash reporting provider (e.g. Firebase Crashlytics) to support app stability improvements.
• Third-party SDKs or APIs (where applicable): Where an app's features rely on external services, limited data may be transmitted to those services as required for proper operation. Such integrations are disclosed on the relevant app's Google Play listing.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid legal process.

Where data remains on your device — such as locally stored content or preferences — it is not transmitted to us or any third party unless a specific app feature explicitly requires it.

Data Retention

Data stored locally on your device — such as app preferences or user-created content — is retained until you clear the app's data or uninstall the application.

Where an app uses third-party services (such as advertising providers or crash reporting tools), data held by those services is subject to their respective retention policies, which are independent of ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those providers for details.

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to help protect information handled within our apps. Where data is stored locally, its security depends in part on your device's own protections, such as screen lock and device encryption.

No method of data storage or transmission is completely secure. While we work to maintain reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to keep your Android OS and our apps updated to benefit from the latest security improvements.

Children's Privacy

Our applications are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a specific app is designed for a broader or mixed audience, it is disclosed on that app's Google Play listing. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of our apps without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

Your Rights & Choices

• Access & deletion: You can clear an app's locally stored data at any time via Android Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Storage, or by uninstalling the app.
• Permission management: You can review and revoke app permissions at any time via Android Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Permissions.
• Ad personalization: Opt out or manage ad preferences via your Android device's Google Ads settings (see Section 4).
• Advertising ID: Reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings to limit interest-based advertising.
• Privacy inquiries: For questions or requests related to your personal data, contact us using the details in Section 12.

Please note that some choices — such as revoking certain permissions — may affect the availability of app features that depend on those permissions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our apps, practices, or applicable laws. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of any of our apps after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

We aim to respond to privacy-related inquiries within a reasonable timeframe.

App-specific disclosure: LeafDoctor

This section supplements the policy above for the app LeafDoctor AI Plant Care ID (Google Play package com.leafdoctor.plant.identifier.care.disease). Where it is more specific, it applies to LeafDoctor. Added: November 7, 2026.

• Stored on your device: LeafDoctor has no account and no LeafDoctor server. Your garden, plant photos, notes, journal, care schedule, scan history and Budsy chat history are stored on your device. They are excluded from Android cloud backup, but Android's device-to-device transfer can copy them to a new phone.
• AI features (Google Gemini API): LeafDoctor sends data to Google's Gemini API to create its AI results:
  • when you scan a leaf: the photo, and your answers to follow-up questions such as soil or drainage;
  • when you add a journal photo: the photo and the plant's name, to write a short caption;
  • when you chat with Budsy: your message, the recent conversation, any photo you attach, and details about the plant you ask about (such as its name, your notes, its spot, light, watering, pot and soil, and its latest scan findings), plus your answers to the app's setup questions (such as your experience, goals, usual plant problems and whether you have pets);
  • for plant suggestions on the Home screen: a plant's name, its latest findings, health score and recent trend.
  Google processes this data under the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. Health readings and answers are AI estimates for information only.
• Weather: If you allow location, your approximate location is sent to a weather service to get local weather for watering reminders. If you search for a city instead, the text you type is sent. LeafDoctor does not use precise location.
  • LeafDoctor 6.1.6 and later: weather is fetched only while you use the app (reminders use the forecast saved that day). The forecast comes from MET Norway (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute), which receives the approximate location rounded to about 1 km and keeps request logs (IP address and coordinates) under its terms of service. City search sends the city text you type, and showing a place name sends your approximate coordinates, to your device's built-in Android geocoder, which on most devices is provided by Google. Weather data © MET Norway, licensed under CC BY 4.0; LeafDoctor summarises it (rain and highest temperature for today) and estimates evaporation (ET0) from its temperatures.
  • LeafDoctor 6.1.5 and earlier: forecasts, city search and place names come from Open-Meteo, under its terms and privacy policy. The daily care reminder also refreshes the forecast in the background.
• Plant photos by name (Wikipedia): When you add a plant by name, the name you type may be searched on Wikipedia to find a photo of the plant, under the Wikimedia privacy policy.
• Usage, crash reports and settings (Firebase): Firebase Analytics records usage events (for example, that a scan finished and how long it took) with an app-instance ID, and Google may derive an approximate location from your IP address. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports (device model, Android version, error traces and app state such as language and consent status) with a Crashlytics installation ID. Firebase Remote Config downloads app settings and uses a Firebase installation ID and basic device information such as country, language and time zone. Analytics follows your consent choices where consent is required, and Advertising ID collection is turned off for Analytics.
• Reporting an AI answer: If you report an AI answer, the reason, the screen and a short excerpt of the AI reply are sent through Analytics. The app automatically removes text you typed and common contact details (such as email addresses, links and phone numbers) from the excerpt; this is best effort.
• Ads (Google AdMob): LeafDoctor shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use your IP address, Advertising ID and other device identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where you consent, personalize ads. Where consent is required (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google's consent form asks for your choices, and you can change them later in the app under Settings → Ad privacy choices.
• Camera and notifications: The camera is used to take leaf and journal photos and for the light meter; light readings are calculated on your device. Notifications are used for watering and care reminders scheduled on your device.
• Security and sharing: Data sent to these services travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We do not sell your data.
• Deleting your data: Deleting a plant in Garden removes its journal and chat. Clearing a Budsy conversation removes its messages and attached photos. Scan history, including its photo copies, stays on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Data already processed by Google, MET Norway, Open-Meteo or Wikipedia is kept under their own policies.
